Maylee had her first photo shoot yesterday. She's quite the little model! As long as the camera was flashing she was happy. Here's just a few of my favorites! Thank you so much Debe!

Picacho Peak

We headed down to Picacho Peak for a little family hiking this weekend. Here we are at the trailhead. We were really ambitious, the trail was 0.2 miles.

We made it successfully to the cave at the end!

Maylee was thrilled with the whole experience.

Awesome Idea

I found this new blog that is all about being optimistic and finding good in every day. What an awesome idea! My husband will tell you I have a problem with pessimism. :-) Maybe this will help me find good in every day too. She's also having a super cute giveaway right now so check it out.

The Craziest Things

Emma, "I like Rococo way better than Baroque. Maybe I'll be a famous painter and bring a new Rococo Renaissance to Utah!"

Eli (while looking at the grocery ads) exclaims, "What?! Yogurt is a dollar more than the Son of Baconator!"

Emma: "If world peace was only $3 I'd totally buy it. I don't know why everybody wants world peace anyway."

My brother only sits on me when I ask him to. Emma

Let me preface this one with the fact that I always buy wheat bread for my kids and one day David brought home a loaf of white for the kids to try.
Emma, "This white bread makes my sandwich taste like nothing." That's my girl.

Eli, "Mom what if I'm too shy to get married when I'm old?"
Mom, "Don't worry, you won't be shy when you're older."
Eli, "But what if I am?"
Mom, "Then you can find a girl who's shy to marry and you can be shy together."
Eli, "Oh...ok."

Emma, "Mom you have to listen to this awesome song, it rocks me all the time."

Eli, sobbing after getting his first bloody nose, "Mom, what if all the blood runs out of me, will there be any left?"

Emma, "Isn't it funny how the older dogs get the less cute they are?"

Mom, "What did you learn in church today?"
Eli, "I learned about Jesus and gold fish and animal crackers and fruit snacks."
Emma, "I want to be in Jr. Primary again."

Eli, "Mommy, I like Maylee now." (Maylee was 5 months old when he said this).

Emma, "Can you pause now so I can talk?"

Mom, "She doesn't know what Lent is."
Emma, "Yes I do! It's little pieces of black fuzzy stuff!"

Emma, "MOOOOOM, my toothbrush tastes like deodorant!"

Emma, "I'm going to pause my wonderness now,"

Mom, "Eli, go wake your Daddy up," Eli, "I can't, he's crunky to me in the morning."

Dad, "Don't lick things with brown stuff on them, as a general rule."

Emma, "Half-naked is my favorite kind of naked."
