She's taken to solids very quickly, every time she sees us eat now she wants to eat too and will grab your fork if you get it too close to her. Her favorite food currently is sweet potato, I made her some in my crockpot which I must confess are waaaaayyyy better than jarred baby food.

Eli & Maylee are 5!

We celebrated Eli's 5th birthday recently. We took him to Amazing Jakes for pizza and games and then we had a family party at home later. Here's a picture of my big boy and a pic of him with his cake. My little disclaimer: I was all set to make him an asteroid cake and he decided at last minute he wanted R2-D2 instead. So I free-handed him a last minute R2D2 cake at 10 O'clock at night. That's why it looks kind of funny. :-)

Our beautiful Maylee Jo is now 5 months old and cuter then ever! She's laughing and giggling all the time now. She can't crawl yet but she's definitely a mover. Rolling and scooting all over the place. We recently discovered that she loves the wind and the cold. Poor girl, it's going to be a long summer.

Mmmmm....Pizza

For David's birthday we had dinner at Pizzeria Bianco. For those of you who haven't heard of it it is a small pizza place in downtown Phoenix which has been voted the best pizza in the US several times. Click here to see it featured on Oprah. It frequently has waits of 3-4 hours to get in. David and I arrived there at 330 on a Tuesday afternoon (it opens at 5) and there were already 25 or so people in line. Here's David in front of the restaurant.

Our neighbors in line were from Colorado and British Columbia. It was fun to talk to all the people while waiting. This is the line 1/2 hour before it opened.

We were lucky enough to get in at the first seating. The restaurant only seats like 40 people at a time. While we were eating I overheard the hostess tell someone the wait was up to 2 and 1/2 hours. Wowzer. The food was truly amazing though, especially the antipasto. Yes it was totally worth the wait and yes we will be going again. Yummy.
